MIT - average 12% reduction

In January 2018, the MIT lab published the results of a study on the adverse effects of air pollution on solar panels. Delhi, India, one of the most polluted cities for air pollution, was selected for the study.

Researchers at MIT have concluded that the annual output of solar panels can be reduced by an average of 12%, and depending on the material from which the cell is made, output could be reduced by up to 17%.
